Are fruit and vegetable supplements really effective? While on the search for the answer, I tested out many of these pills, powders, and juices and wrote this Balance of Nature review just for you!
Superfoods, green powders, pills, and multivitamins you have almost every way imaginable to get your daily nutrition. I’ve had plenty of supplements over the past couple of years. Instead of always mixing them up, I go for specific nutrients; like Collagen one moment, Maca root the next or whichever vitamin or mineral I feel I need at the time.
However, separately buying such products can be expensive, and that is when I decided to mix it up and get my nourishment in a single package whenever possible. I’ll admit that a lot of influence had to do with lots of research I do on fitness gurus and a couple of health physicians. Still, I could see how cost-friendly it would get for me.
Unfortunately, finding a specific green supplement to suit your needs isn’t always easy. There are rows upon rows of endless brands to choose! So many lists of ingredients in each product that make it so hard to pick one choice and run with it; but that’s what I did. I do a bit of digging on the brand online, look at the ingredients, and find out what people have to say about their experience.
That said, I’ve had both good and bad experiences over the years. Some supplements did as they promised, while some gave me nausea and stomach upsets. Balance of Nature was in my list, and I had the chance to see just how well it worked for me!

Balance of Nature Review
If anyone asked me to choose the best option between a multivitamin and superfood supplement, it would be tough to give a straight answer. While I consider multivitamins a trusted way to get your vitamins, there are many more nutrients you could find in superfood powders and pills that you may not find in multivitamins. You just have to find the right brand.
From what I could see, the Balance of Nature fruits and veggies are safe for men, women, and children – and we all know how difficult it can be to find such supplements. The only other Balance of Nature product I could find was Fiber and Spice; I wasn’t so curious about that!
About Balance of Nature
Dr. Howard is the physician behind the creation of the company back in the early 1990s. Like most founders of supplement companies, he wanted to find a way to improve lives and help patients make changes to their lifestyle habits. After lots of study and research, Balance of Nature was born.
Interestingly, Dr. Howard is a leading researcher in phytonutrition, and has a “Triad of Health†philosophy. The three ways to achieve complete health are by watching your physical health, your chemical health, and your spiritual health. When you think about it, it’s all pretty true!
The Balance of Nature superfood supplement comes in two bottles: Fruits and Veggies (you can include the Fiber and Spice in your package at an extra cost). The veggie capsules contain an array of ingredients like Spinach, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrot, Cabbage, Kale, Celery Stalk, Soy Bean, Zucchini, and Yam.
The fruit capsules contain the powders from Apple, Aloe Vera, Cranberry, Cherry, Grapefruit, Lemon, Papaya, Pineapple, Tomato, Mango, Raspberry, and Orange. Combined, you get a daily dose of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that you would normally miss out on most days.
Taking six pills every day was honestly daunting – three from each bottle – but I did for three months. With my past singular-based supplements, I knew the exact changes and improvements to look out for; though it’s rarely a guarantee with such combinations of ingredients.
I didn’t notice too much of a difference, but I could tell they helped my digestive system. I had fewer discomforts and an easier time pooping.
- Multiple organic ingredients
- Great way to supplement your diet
- Gluten-free and non-GMO
- Taking six pills every day
It wouldn’t be difficult finding a negative Balance of Nature review; sometimes what works for you may not benefit another. Either way, it’s good to remember that supplements aren’t mean to replace real food!
What are the pros and cons of Balance of Nature?
On the bright side, the Balance of Nature supplement is non-GMO, gluten-free, and contains an impressive amount of organic ingredients that are responsible for nutritive value. However, there are concerns about simply listing the ‘proprietary blend‘ of ingredients rather than show the specific amounts used.
Where is Balance of Nature located?
Balance of Nature is a company that was created in 1997 by Dr. Douglas Howard to promote better health through natural nutrition supplements. The company’s head health food store is based in St. George, Utah.
Is Balance of Nature supplement good for you?
Whole food, especially fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains are particularly beneficial in losing weight, and for their fiber content which helps in better digestion. In a modern world where it may be tough to get all the daily recommended nutrients from your meals, supplements are a way to make up for what is missing.
Can Balance of Nature supplements replace fruits and vegetables?
Health experts point out the benefits of whole fruits and vegetables – compared to green or fruit and veggie supplements – they have more nutrients (especially water and fiber) that you need for a healthy diet. Overall, supplements are not a way to replace whole and organic foods, but rather a way to add to them.
Is Balance of Nature good for a low-carb eating plan?
The organic ingredients in Balance of Nature make the supplement a good addition to a low-carb diet. Regarding the sugars found in Balance of Nature, the company states that the sugars used are intrinsic and not free sugars.
